IT Strategic Planning
Technology roadmaps, IT strategic plans, and realistic budgets that align your systems with clinical and operational goals — built for tight clinical and financial environments.
Tristar is a healthcare-focused IT consultancy. We help clinics, health centers, and non-profits plan their technology, stay running through anything, and keep it secure — from IT strategy and disaster recovery to virtualization, cloud, and endpoint defense.
From the data center to the endpoint, we cover the systems that keep your organization operational, compliant, and resilient.
Technology roadmaps, IT strategic plans, and realistic budgets that align your systems with clinical and operational goals — built for tight clinical and financial environments.
Veeam-based backup plus tested business continuity and disaster recovery plans, so an outage, ransomware hit, or hardware failure becomes an inconvenience — never a stop to patient care.
VMware design, implementation, and consolidation that turns sprawling hardware into a lean, resilient, easily managed environment.
XDR deployment, hardening, and monitoring across endpoints and networks — plus wireless and privacy security — to detect threats early and contain them fast.
M365 administration plus AWS and Azure hosting — migrations, identity, and cloud architecture tuned for cost, security, and reliability.
Proactive support and hands-on project management for migrations and rollouts — empowering your internal team with documentation, patching, and a partner on call.
Healthcare IT isn't generic IT. Uptime affects patient care, data carries real obligations, and budgets are tight. We've spent nearly two decades inside FQHCs, MSOs, and community health centers across California, Hawaii, and the Pacific — and we build around that reality.
Our ramp-up process is designed to empower your technical team and outfit them with the tools they need to succeed.
Tristar is led by Leonard Kwong, who brings more than 19 years of progressively responsible experience guiding healthcare information technology — including 10 years as a Chief Technology Officer within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Management Services Organizations (MSOs).
He has led organizations through IT strategic planning, budgeting, and the launch of health-technology initiatives in demanding clinical and financial environments — and has built and applied the business continuity and disaster recovery plans that keep care running when systems are tested. His background spans network and wireless design, privacy and HIPAA security, EMR/EHR deployment, virtualization, cloud, and database work across healthcare, financial, academic, manufacturing, and non-profit sectors.
Every engagement starts with understanding where you are. Then we map where you need to be — with timelines, milestones, and a cost analysis you can actually act on.
A comprehensive review to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities across your systems, security posture, and workflows.
A detailed project plan with timelines, milestones, and a transparent cost analysis — no surprises, no jargon.
We execute alongside your team and hand off documentation and know-how, so the solution outlives the engagement.
We're choosy about who we work with — because every client deserves real attention, not a ticket number.
19+ years across IT strategy, security, virtualization, and healthcare systems — including a decade as a healthcare CTO, applied directly to your environment.
We empower your internal team rather than creating dependency — knowledge transfer is built into every project.
From XDR to backup verification, decisions are made through the lens of protecting your data and your patients.
Every organization needs support, connectivity, and security — but your needs are unique. Send a message and we'll help you find the services that fit.
